NFT Playground is a protocol that allows you to view, mint, list, buy and transfer NFT collections. This is an application built for the community, and it will be a pilot for NFTs on Altair. Ultimately, this will enable the tokenisation on real world assets to be financed Centrifuge.
Before starting, you will need to have some AIR tokens in your Polkadot wallet for the transaction fees on the Altair blockchain. NFT Playground does not charge any additonal fees.
First, go to https://app.altair.network/ and navigate the top right– click on 'Connect'.
The Polkadot JS Wallet will appear, prompting you to authorise NFT playground with access to your wallet, sign the transaction and proceed.
To mint an NFT, you will first have to create a collection for it to live in. To create a collection:
1) Navigate to the dashboard and click on 'Create Collection', a pop-up will appear and will allow you to add:
2) Add a name: up to 400 characters (unicode) 3) Add a description: up to 400 characters (unicode) 4) Add a collection logo - although it is not mandatory (Altair logo will appear instead) 5) Click on “Next” 6) Read and agree to the terms of use, and click on 'Create collection'. This will prompt the Polkadot JS wallet to appear, sign the transaction to initiate collection creation.
Your collection should appear upon completion. Now you just have to add some NFTs to it – which is the minting process.
1) Navigate to your collection and select 'Mint NFT'
Once your NFT has been minted it will be displayed on screen
1) Navigate to the NFT detail page of the one you would like to list and, click on ‘Sell’
Once the transaction is confirmed on the chain, you should see the purchase price displayed, and it can now be bought.
Navigate to the NFT detail page of the one you would like to delist, and click on ‘Remove listing’
Click on ‘Remove listing’
Sign the transaction on Polkadot JS wallet
Once the transaction is confirmed on-chain, your NFT should no longer be listed for sale, and there should be no purchase price displayed.
1) Navigate to the NFT detail page of the one you would like to send, and click on ‘Transfer’
Once the transaction is confirmed on-chain, your NFT should have transferred to the recipient's wallet, and the owner’s wallet address displayed will reflect this.
Browse and select an NFT that has a price listed in AIR
Enter the NFT detail page of the one you would like to buy and click on ‘Buy NFT’ on the dashboard
Click on ‘Buy’
Sign the transaction on Polkadot JS wallet
Once the transaction is confirmed on-chain, the NFT should be transferred to your wallet, and the owner’s wallet address displayed should be your own.
